The reclining Buddha is one of the gentlest images in Buddhist art, showing rest and complete peace. This reclining buddha painting sets Siddhartha Gautama in a saffron robe beneath tall trees, in soft, restful colours. Comparing a few options? Our Buddha canvas paintings sit side by side.
Siddhartha at rest in the forest
The Buddha lies on his side with his head resting on one hand, wrapped in a saffron robe, on a soft purple and green forest floor. Two tree trunks frame the scene and a misty green canopy fills the sky. It is a UV print on real canvas, 48 × 24 inches, and the long format suits the horizontal pose.
Is a Buddha painting for bedroom walls a good idea?
Green signals harmony and health, saffron feels warm and spiritual, and the soft purple adds calm. A long horizontal shape is restful over a bed or sofa.

Bedroom: a sleeping buddha wall art piece above the headboard.
-
Living room: above a beige sofa, as in the photo.
-
Meditation room or spa: a peaceful focal point.
Sleeping Buddha wall art for loved ones
It suits a housewarming, a friend recovering their calm after a busy year, or a yoga teacher opening a new studio. The siddhartha gautama canvas is gentle enough for almost any room.

Worth knowing about the reclining Buddha canvas
What does the reclining pose mean?
It shows the Buddha at rest and at peace, often linked with the final stage of his life and liberation.
Is it calm enough for a bedroom?
Yes. The colours are soft and the pose is restful, which is why many people choose it for above the bed.
How should I look after the canvas?
Printed on canvas cloth, it is not waterproof, so dust it with a dry, soft cloth, never a wet one, and keep it out of strong direct sun, which can fade the colours. With the Frame finish, the top bar rests on a single nail, no hooks needed; a Floating Frame instead sits on two clips fixed on the wall, one at each side across its width.
Can you send it abroad?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp for an international shipping quote; delivery within India is free.
Can I see it before it is printed?
Yes. Your designer shares a preview, and printing starts only after you approve it.
Framed, floating or unframed: which should I choose?
Go by the look you want: the bare print (without frame), borderless on a hidden wooden frame (Frame), or a visible border with a base behind (Floating Frame), the most gallery-like.
