Village life has rhythm, colour and togetherness, and this folk art canvas painting is full of all three. Women in bright clothes go about their day among fields, a river and big sunflowers. To see it beside similar pieces, open our canvas wall paintings.
Fields, sunflowers and village women
The scene is painted in a stylised folk look: women in red, yellow and green at the centre, terraced fields and a winding river behind, and sunflowers framing the corners. Warm yellow and orange dominate. It is UV printed on real canvas at 48 × 24 inches, a print of folk-style art rather than a hand-painted piece.
Where an Indian village painting brightens a room
Yellow and orange feel warm and joyful, and the long format suits a sofa or dining wall.
-
Living room: above a cream, yellow or white sofa.
-
Dining area: a cheerful scene for family meals.
-
Restaurant, dhaba-style café or resort: earthy Indian character.
Rural women wall art as a gift
It suits families who love Indian craft, a new home with an ethnic theme, or a restaurant opening.

Care and hanging notes. The finishes: the bare printed canvas (without frame), the canvas stretched on a hidden wooden frame (Frame, no front border), or a border with a base behind it (Floating Frame, a gallery look). The wooden Frame rests on a single nail, so no hooks are needed, whereas the Floating Frame sits on a pair of clips fixed on the wall at either side of its width. Dust it with a dry, soft cloth only, never a wet one, as canvas is not waterproof. Hang it away from direct sunlight, which can fade the colours over time.
